Green Street Power Partners celebrates completion of the largest community solar farm in the state of New York
New Windsor, NY – June 26, 2019 – Today at a ribbon cutting ceremony, Green Street Power Partners, LLC (GSPP), a leading commercial solar developer, financier, owner and operator of solar energy systems across the country, celebrated construction completion of the largest community solar farm in the state of New York. Located on Riley Road in New Windsor, the 5.544 MW ground-mounted community solar project covers 40 acres and is sending 100% clean power to project partner Central Hudson Gas & Electric’s electric grid. The affiliated New Windsor community solar program will provide up to 750 homes in the Central Hudson Gas & Electric service territory with as much as 10% savings on their utility bills.
GSPP was joined by project partner PowerMarket, a leading provider of community solar management and administration software solutions, as well as New Windsor Town Council Members, Steve Moreau and Andrew Regenbaum, and local clean energy advocates Pat Courtney Strong and Nina Orville.
The energy produced by the project is estimated to displace over 4,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions annually, equivalent to preserving ~960 acres of forest over the lifetime of the system.

Each month we are bringing the value of solar to a diverse group of participants, including local churches, a nature museum, a chocolate maker, and residents from across the Hudson Valley. We are honored to share the benefits of clean energy with homes and businesses that may not have been able to access solar energy otherwise.” said GSPP Chief Investment Officer Lisa Raffin.
The New Windsor Community Solar Program is still accepting applicants who are serviced by Central Hudson Gas & Electric, but space is limited.
